Covered with a bright primary colored floral pattern and offset with a reactive blue glaze this fun tea cup and saucer hold 10 ounces of your warm beverage of choice.  The saucer is the perfect size to add a little snack, some tea sandwiches or cookies (saucer dimensions are 5 1/2  inches wide x 7/8 inches tall).

This is a wheel thrown porcelain cup and saucer, with a handle added by hand.  A floral underglaze pattern (from SanBao Studios) was added, covered with a clear glaze, and then waxed to protect it while the rest of the piece was glazed.  It was finished off with Iridescent Blue and Slate Grey glazes to produce an crystalline-like reaction.

These pieces are lead free and food safe. They can be microwaved and washed in the dishwasher. However, as with any special and delicate item, not exposing it to hot/cold extremes, and hand-washing is the kinder option.
